Okay--so all the band are now dressed in black suits, black shirts, and ties. While they all look smart on stage, it also looks really uncomfortable to wear! There are a couple of minor changes in the first half projections but nothing huge. All the flag bearers have hard black helmets. Two of them come out to the front of the stage to throw pink on stage and then get on stage to hand Roger his coat and sunglasses. Band is very tight for the first night, but the star of the show so far is Robbie; his voice is fantastic!! He must have done some vocal practice or exercises. It sounds awesome!

No new set up on stage or visible differences about the wall for opening night. 40 minutes to showtime here in Lisbon!

So here we are again...

The last time I was in Lisbon was the start of Rogers 2002, In The Flesh tour. I flew in 3 days before the first show and was fortunate to see the rehearsals and travel to the venue in the blacked out vans with the band!  That was the start of an eight week journey around Europe sight seeing, watching shows, meeting people, and generally having fun!

Fast forward  nine years and here I am again sat in the lounge at Heathrow waiting for a flight to Lisbon for the start of the 2011 European Wall tour. On the agenda, again, is sight seeing, watching shows, meeting people, and having fun! Same old, same old!
I'm sharing a room with my friend Kevin for the next 10 days. We've done all the tours since 2000 together, and he just checked in the hotel this morning. I looked at the weather in Lisbon, and it's currently 22’C . Dave K also sent me a message telling me it's shorts weather there, so I am looking forward to getting some sun on my pale English skin!

It begins...
